Ms. Yoojin Kang has secured her reputation as one of Korea's most internationally recognized narrative writers. She has shaped the story frameworks of music videos, short films, and branded entertainment, bringing emotional depth and distinctive voice to each project. Her career highlights the power of narrative design embraced by major entertainment industries and critical audiences worldwide.

Kang's storytelling expertise is vividly reflected in her work on the story concept and narrative development for NewJeans' music video "Right Now," produced with global giant HYBE. She contributed from the early ideation stage, shaping the narrative arc and supporting the storyboarding process to ensure that the video’s pop culture references, animation, and artistic elements worked together cohesively. The video featured the iconic Powerpuff Girls franchise and celebrated Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and propelled NewJeans into record-breaking territory. The group's rapid rise, marked by their Guinness World Record for reaching 1 billion Spotify streams in only 219 days and a #81 debut for "Right Now" on the Billboard Hot 100, demonstrates how Kang’s narrative work strengthens K-pop’s position at the forefront of global music culture.

Her collaboration with SM Entertainment’s SM TOWN platform for NCT WISH’s "Steady" and "Wishful" further highlighted her skill in story concept creation. She helped build the emotional through-line that connected the group’s dual-market debut in Korea and Japan. NCT WISH, spotlighted by Grammy.com as a 2024 rookie act to watch, sold over 800,000 EP copies in a single week and dominated charts in both markets. Kang’s narrative contributions supported the cohesive messaging across music videos, teasers, and campaign content that made their launch feel like a single, unified story.

Beyond NCT WISH, Kang’s work on EXO SUHO’s "Cheese" shows her talent for turning abstract ideas into playful narratives. With EXO’s reach of over 35 million albums sold worldwide, her writing gave the video its whimsical metaphor and retro charm, helping the project stand out as a fresh and memorable entry in the group’s discography.

Kang’s acclaim also extends into the international independent film circuit, where her short films have earned top recognition at prestigious festivals. Her film "KITTY" was nominated at Indie Short Fest and honored by The Script Awards Los Angeles. "I WANNA BE" was selected for the San Diego Asian Film Festival and won Best Short Script at the Melbourne International Screenplay Awards and the Wiki Screenplay Contest. "Best Mom Ever" not only received accolades at Indie Short Fest and the Our Time Film Festival but also won the Best Female Perspective award at The Hollywood International Diversity Film Festival. These achievements cemented Kang’s reputation as a writer deeply attuned to underrepresented voices and global narratives.

Her award-winning script "In Your Eyes, In My Eyes," which secured Best Korean Short Film at the Seoul International Pride Film Festival, further underscores her influence in advancing conversations around LGBTQ storytelling and representation.

Kang’s versatility also extends to branded entertainment, including the global podcast series "Convee Convo," where she handled narrative scripting and story structuring for Samyang’s media platform. With millions of views on full episodes and viral shorts, her writing continues to connect with a global audience and respond to the fast-paced digital landscape.

Through works that consistently attract millions of viewers and critical acclaim, Ms. Yoojin Kang stands as a storyteller whose narratives are shaping the future of Korean creativity on the world stage.
